Promoting physician alignment through an operationally lean, sustainable and cost-effective real estate investment vehicle

The St. Jude Heritage Medical Plaza launched with a focus on the enhancing the patient experience and creating physician alignment. Utilizing lean design methodologies, Petra focused on an operationally efficient and patient-oriented

“off-stage/on-stage” environment.

 

In order to cost-effectively develop the 88,000 SF building, a For-Profit Subsidiary and Master LLC was created to serve as the majority owner of a real estate investment partnership that included primary care and multi-specialty physician investors. The building program included 128 private high-tech exam rooms, an eight room urgent care, pharmacy, lab, and advanced

outpatient CT, MRI, and fully-integrated ultrasound imaging services to promote a seamless customer experience.

 

Sustainability was also an achievement of the St. Jude Heritage Medical Plaza, which became one of the first LEED Certified medical office buildings in Orange County. The project was great success amongst physicians and the patient community.
